Many changes this year, as my best friend in the world leaves school to join the Army

How lucky can a man be , to say " My son is the kinda man I would hang out with , even if he wasn't my son"

Teaching the fine art of filleting

after a great fall day on the lake we have several nice ones to clean

Crappie, bass and bluegill, nice basket

The day comes for him to leave, with a firm handshake and then and heartfelt hug , he boards the bus

I knew I would hate to see him go, but the cost of the liberity we all enjoy, comes at a high price....to us all

The tears filled my eyes as the bus pulled away

and I turned to Stephen's grandmother to see them also running down her face. Hugging her tightly as I know this is the second time she has had to do this, now I understand how she felt in 1980 when I went to boot camp for the U.S. Marines

Three generations, Three services

Navy, Army and Marines

After leaving the recruiting office i went to the woods

with the season half over I had seen many deer but had yet to get the right shot, So, I spent the rest of the day sitting quietly in the great outdoors , thinking of all the years gone by as my son became a man. I support my son in what he has chosen to do with his life. I was proud of him for the person he is, now I am also proud of what he is doing

wooohooo!!!! I did it

Not quite the buck with a big rack like I had hoped for , but a big doe makes good meat for the freezer. Not bad for my first year

Winter hits big time

the lake I enjoyed so much with the fishing in the fall, froze over. walking it's icy banks was a bit sad for me, but then winter is always a sad time for me

Christmas was wonderful and Stepthen got to come home

we were all glad to see the gotee and the hair gone hehe,

Gary seemed to like his new shootin' shirt

it was nice to see him smile

Good company, great food and the smell of homemade candy in the air

just a few of the nice things about christmas

whew, no wonder I gained back a few pounds lol

Baby, my sweet baby

I raised her from a pup and my ex wife had her till she moved into a place she couldn't have pets. So i finally got her here with me

the snows of winter make it cold outside but the love of home keeps us all warm inside
